Overview‘Downend Long Range’ will be used for the 50m and 100yd Prone Rifle and 50m Free Pistol competitions. It has been extensively reshaped in 2008 and has 12 firing points. The short 25m range will be used for all the other Pistol Competitions. It has 10 firing points and 2 banks of 5 turning targets. Both ranges were used for the 1993 NatWest Island Games Target Shooting competitions on the Isle of Wight .
Barry Hall and Derek Toms are the joint overall target shooting organisers for the 2011 NatWest Island Games. Both have been around the Prone Rifle Shooting scene for many years and are active small-bore rifle shooters throughout the year.
