Education - Information Packs

A pack of resources has been produced by the Adult, Community and Family Learning service in partnership with NatWest Island Games organisers. We hope this will inspire involvement for all island communities, not just the Isle of Wight.

The pack lays out ideas for whole school, class and family involvement in many aspects of the games. This event has strong links to all curriculum areas, from art and design to music, geography and maths.  With teams coming from as far away as St Helena in the Southern Atlantic and from all corners of the British Isles, there is plenty to spark the imagination of our youngsters, from the Early Years through to High School.

How to use the resources...
The first step is to download the pack below for ideas on activities and how to use the resources. The resources are all listed separately below and are referenced in the pack, so you can choose whichever ones are suitable. Most are pdf files, although the images are in a zipped format.

There is an audio track and Power Point slideshow starter which will be provided to schools locally as these are very large files. Please contact barbara@natwestislandgames2011.co.uk if you are not based on the Isle of Wight and require a copy. (These are items 14 and 20 in the Resources Pack)
