Overview

Although not a major sport on the Isle of Wight, basketball is very popular with young people who regularly train at Cowes High School under the supervision of England Basketball qualified coaches.

Many of the youngsters play in the Central Venue League of 8 teams from September to March.

This year sees the start of our new Summer League. In August the 5th "Fundamentals" Summer Camp will be held led by top coaches.

Some of the best young players travel to the mainland to represent National Junior League teams and hopefully will be playing for the Island in 2011.

The senior mens team play in the Solent Premier League based around the Southampton area.
